ARC Foundation Releases New SOGI 123 Brand and Website
ARC Foundation (ARC) is excited to share a transformation for SOGI 123, including a redesigned logo and updated SOGIeducation.org website. SOGI 123 expands the capacity of K-12 teachers to create Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI)-inclusive schools for all students.
Our new SOGI 123 brand and logo is bright and bold – inspired by the educators we get to work with. We are moving away from a sequenced rainbow, which doesn’t necessarily represent the rich diversity of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities that we aim to reach. The brand and logo remain boldly colourful and will see those colours used in a variety of combinations throughout. And although each of the 1, 2 and 3 of SOGI 123 represent distinct elements of the framework, we’ve also removed the spaces between the “123” to improve ease-of-use, simplicity, and consistency among education communities.
Thanks to input from educators across our SOGI Educator Network, we’re excited to share some significant improvements to the navigation of our website, including a consolidated resource library, an updated Q+A section, as well as improved searchability allowing website users to quickly find what they’re looking for. We are also thrilled to share that our SOGIeducation.org website is now available in both English and French, to better serve French speaking educators, students, and families.
“This project began early in 2023 and has been a truly collaborative effort from many individuals that contributed over the last year”, shared Heather Vause, ARC Foundation’s Director of Community Engagement. “We are so grateful to the educators, parents, community members, and funders who helped make this possible; and are hopeful that the new SOGI 123 brand and website will serve the education community for many years to come.”
We gratefully acknowledge the financial support from the Government of Canada, through Department of Women and Gender Equality, to create digital tools and assets to support educators. We also would like to extend our gratitude to the team at Harc Creative who guided this process and brought the new vision to life. We invite you to visit SOGIeducation.org to explore the updated SOGI 123 brand and website!
