ARC Foundation Welcomes Scott Graham and Dee Dee Sung to its Board of Directors
VANCOUVER, B.C.—The Board of Directors of ARC Foundation (ARC) is pleased to announce that Scott Graham and Dee Dee Sung have been appointed to its Board of Directors. These appointments, that bring the total number of directors to seven, are being made as part of ARC’s ongoing initiative to expand the board and to increase its diversity.
“Scott and Dee Dee are outstanding additions to the Board and their unique voices at the table will help strengthen the organization’s efforts to continue our important work and increase access to SOGI 1 2 3 resources across the country,” said Jill Gardiner, Chair of the Board. “Together they bring decades of leadership, strategic wisdom, creativity and fundraising expertise as well as commitment and passion for the vision and mission of ARC Foundation. “
Scott Graham is a long-time philanthropist, community organizer and thought leader, serving on multiple boards and organizations and donating his time generously to endeavours in both Alberta and British Columbia. With particular interests in improving and addressing human rights, health, education and poverty, Scott serves in a variety of capacities as a director, committee chair and member, advisor and mentor across multiple organizations, including the Stollery Charitable Foundation, Edmonton Community Foundation, Vancouver Foundation, the TELUS Edmonton Community Board, the Peter Lougheed Leadership College advisory committee, and the University of Alberta’s Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services, among others. Mr. Graham holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta.
Dee Dee Sung is Director & Executive Coach, UBC Academic Leadership Development Program at the University of British Columbia. She has been a collaborative leader for over 20 years with progressive experience in the social profit and private sectors. With her extensive experience in fundraising she has been recognized for building long-term business and donor relationships. As a certified leadership coach, Dee Dee specializes in working with emerging and senior leaders in the areas of strategic thinking, performance optimization, personal development and maintaining work life harmony. As a third generation Chinese Canadian, Dee Dee is committed to being in service to community and previously served as Board Chair of the Saint James Music Academy whose mission is to bring social transformation through the power and love of music to children in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. She has also served on committees and contributed to the work of The Minerva Foundation for BC Women, The Canadian Association of Gift Planners, and the SFU Mentors in Business Program. Ms. Sung holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University as well as certifications in Organizational Coaching, Non-Profit Governance Essentials, and Fundraising Management.
